Visor

  • Polypropylene

Shield

  • .020″ clear PETG
  • 11.85″ L x 8.125″ H

Foam

  • 7″ x 1.25″ x .25″ closed cell polyethylene

Elastic Band

  • 9″ L x 1.25″ W
  • 3 slits on each end for adjustment

How to Assemble

  1. Assemble Shield to the visor
  2. Assemble the back-elastic strap to the visor
  3. Choose which slits to use based on your head size
  4. Work safely with Face Shield!

Cleaning the Shield

BLEACH – Compatible with Optix ® Acrylic, Vivak ® PETG

  • Prepare a household bleach solution by mixing:
    •  5 Tablespoons (1/3 cup) bleach per gallon of water
    • 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water
  • Diluted bleach is not stable and should be prepared weekly from concentrated stock.
  • Follow manufacturer’s instructions for application – contact time typically measured in minutes

 

ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL [IPA] or ETHYL ALCOHOL – Compatible with Vivak PETG, TUFFAK ® Polycarbonate

  • Use of alcohol-based wipes or sprays or soaked cloths containing at least 70% alcohol.
  • Do not dilute.
  • Fast acting. Allow alcohol to remain on surface for at least 30 seconds or longer to disinfect.

 

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE – Compatible with Opix Acrylic, Vivak PETG, TUFFAK Polycarbonate

  • Use 3-5% hydrogen peroxide.
  • Do not dilute.
  • Allow to remain on the plastic for several minutes.

 

WARM SOAPY WATER – Compatible with Optix Acrylic. Vivak PETG, TUFFAK Polycarbonate

  • The use of warm, gentle dish soap is a common form of cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Thoroughly and vigorously wash the surface of the plastic with dishwashing soap for a minimum of 20 seconds or longer.
  • Rinse with clean water

 

OVEN – May also leave in oven for 1 hour at 150 degrees Fahrenheit  to disinfect
